At the time of purchase, this hotel was already renowned for its facilities and service. While it was trading successfully, we saw the opportunity to further improve its facilities and see it achieve its full potential.

Over the last few years Harvey’s Point Lakeside Resort has been completely repositioned and rebranded to widen its target market and improve trading performance. More than €6.5m of capital improvements have been made, including the addition of 24 new bedrooms, and a complete refurbishment of all existing bedrooms, the main ground floor areas and banqueting facilities. Each refurbishment project has had sustainability at its core.
A complete overhaul of the booking engine, website design and digital marketing strategy was completed in late 2019 to develop brand awareness.
Now an award-winning, luxury 4-star hotel, the capital investment combined with other operational improvements has meant that, since acquisition, room occupancy and room rate has increased significantly. EBITDAR has doubled and the number of weddings taking place at the venue annually has increased by 60%.
The hotel is lauded for its cuisine with the restaurant serving an estimated 23,000 of its renowned Sunday lunches annually. Proud of our continued strong reputation in the market, we were delighted to be the recipient of TripAdvisor’s No. 1 Hotel in Ireland award in 2023 and a Top 5 ranking in both 2024 and 2025, along with multiple other awards and accolades.
As of May 2025, a refurbishment of the lakeside restaurant facilities has recently completed. Thereafter, work will begin on the addition of a new wellness facility at the hotel for which planning permission was received in 2024. This will result in a further repositioning of the offer to guests.
